Dr. Rao, hails from a traditional Ayurveda family of South India. He is an internationally acclaimed physician and teacher. He holds a Bachelor's of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree from the prestigious Bangalore University and a Master's of Ayurvedic Medicine (M.D. Ayu) degree from Sri Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, Maharashtra. He is specialized in Ayurvedic Pathology & Diagnostics (Rog Nidan Vikriti Vijnan) .

Dr.Rao has the distinction of being a Hospital Administrator of Kamakshi Arogyadhama, a 100 bedded Ayurvedic Hospital attached to Gomantak Ayurvedic Medical College in Goa, India. He has also been a Lecturer of various Ayurveda subjects at Ayurvedic Medical Colleges affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, and Goa University in India. He led Ayurvedic centres in South Africa for two years from 2004 to 2006 offering Medical Ayurveda Consultations and therapeutic Panchakarma therapies besides conducting lectures and workshops for Health Care Professionals and public. He has provided technical guidance to set an Ayurvedic Treatment unit at Whangarei in New Zealand and continuing his mission to spread the message and wisdom of Ayurveda in its purest form and to bring this versatile medical system closer to the people of New Zealand and Australia. He has been invited to provide professional guidance for a project related to setting up Ayurveda and Yoga Centres in Asthana, the capital of Kazakisthan.

Begining in 1992, he has actively involved in Research activities related to Medicinal Plants conservation, building database and trainings besides organizing hundreds of Ayurvedic Camps for the public. He has widely traveled in India and is privileged to offer consultations, panchakarma programs, lectures & workshops in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town of South Africa and neighboring countries like Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia & Malawi. He has contributed many scientific papers on Ayurveda, published in various national and international journals. He has introduced new concepts in the field of Ayurveda useful to the medical professionals. He is largely engaged into research exploring the role of Ayurveda for the treatment of difficult diseases. He is also serving as Senior Faculty Member in Mata Amritanandamayi's Amrita School of Ayurveda which is a constituent unit of Amrita University, Kerala.

Dr. Nayana Rao is a dynamic Ayurveda Consultant, graduated from Govt. Ayurveda Medical College, Bangalore, India. She is now a world renowned expert of Ayurveda and Yoga in her own right. She has been learning, practicing and teaching Yoga from 20 years and has focused on the integration of Ayurveda and Yoga since then. She is involved in active global practice.

Dr.Nayana served as a Medical Officer and Yoga Consultant at Ayurvedic Hospital attached to the Ayurvedic Medical College in Goa, India. She has also been a Lecturer of various Ayurvedasubjects at Ayurvedic Medical Colleges affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India.

She has actively involved in Research activities related to Medicinal Plants conservation, building database and trainings besides organizing hundreds of Ayurvedic and Yoga Awareness Camps. She is also currently in the Service of Mata Amritanandamayi at Amrita School of Ayurveda, Kollam, Kerala as a Faculty Member and Yoga Consultant.
